The Askwith Copper pipes are my attempt to create handmade pipes at an affordable price. The most important thing about a pipe in my opinion is how it smokes. Its no good having a beautiful pipe if it's a bad smoker as that contravenes its primary function. I believe a hand made pipe is best placed to give a good smoke as a great deal of care goes into the internal engineering of the pipe in order that it has a clear, open draw with no obstructions for an easy, dry smoke.

The Askwith Copper pipes all have the same attention applied to their internal engineering as I would for one of my Silver pipes however to keep the price at an affordable level I have keep the shapes and finishes very simple. Most will feature full or partial rustication with simple stains. It's the time consuming contrast stains and complex shapes and stem accents that build the cost, so these have all been cut out completely. Shapes will be simple, stems are plain. however the result is a simple pipe with the smoking qualities of a hand made, but at the price of a factory pipe.
